Despite its fundamental importance for animals and humans, our scientific understanding of how the sense of smell works is still limited today. The COVID-19 pandemic and its taste and smell alterations have brought this enigmatic sense even more to the forefront.

This webinar will provide a complete update on the sense of smell and its evolution, retronasal olfaction and the impact of COVID-19 on the sense of smell (pathological mechanisms, rehabilitation and recovery of the olfactory sense).

Malgré son importance fondamentale dans l’existence des animaux et des humains, notre compréhension scientifique de la façon dont fonctionne l’odorat présente encore aujourd’hui des limites. La pandémie de COVID-19 et ses altérations du goût et de l’odorat ont mis plus encore en avant ce sens énigmatique sur le devant de la scène.

Ce webinaire fera un point complet sur l’odorat et son évolution, l’olfaction rétronasale et l’impact du COVID-19 sur l’odorat (mécanismes pathologiques, rééducation et récupération du sens olfactif).
