In conversation with President of the Management Board of Follow Sp. z o.o.

How has participation in the AENEAM project influenced Follow Sp. z o.o.’s energy management and investment decisions?

Participation in the AENEAM project has led Follow Sp. z o.o. to make concrete investments that are transforming the way the company produces and uses energy. Thanks to the support provided through the project, the company has been able to implement solutions that would not have been feasible without its involvement in AENEAM, marking an important step forward in its energy transition journey.

Which key achievements and major investments were enabled by the support provided through AENEAM?

Participation in the AENEAM project enabled Follow Sp. z o.o. to implement a series of strategic investments that have significantly strengthened its energy performance and sustainability.

Expansion of Renewable Energy Generation

 The company installed two photovoltaic systems of 20 kW each, creating a total installed capacity of 40 kW. This investment allows Follow Sp. z o.o. to generate a substantial share of its own electricity, reducing dependence on external energy sources and lowering operating costs.

Enhanced Energy Storage Capacity

To maximize the value of the energy produced, the company also deployed two 20 kW energy storage systems, providing a total storage capacity of 40 kW. These systems enable more efficient use of self-generated electricity, improve energy security, and increase the company’s overall energy independence.

Heat Recovery from Production Processes

A further key achievement was the installation of heat recovery units on production furnaces. This solution allows waste heat generated during manufacturing processes to be captured and reused, improving overall energy efficiency. The recovered heat is now used for:

  • Heating production facilities;
  • Heating circulating process water;
  • Heating domestic hot water.

Together, these investments have modernized the company’s energy infrastructure, reduced energy consumption, and strengthened its commitment to sustainable and efficient operations.

How have these investments transformed the company’s approach to energy use and efficiency?

These investments have enabled the company to view energy not as a cost, but as a resource that can be generated, stored, recovered, and reused.

The combination of solar power, energy storage, and heat recovery creates a solution that improves the company’s energy efficiency and reduces energy losses.

What’s next?

The company plans to continue its efforts to improve energy efficiency and manage resources responsibly. The completed investments have laid a solid foundation for the company’s further development toward greater energy independence, lower costs, and more sustainable production.

Any final thoughts?

Thanks to the AENEAM project, we were able to move from ideas to concrete investments. We built two photovoltaic systems, two energy storage facilities, and a system for recovering heat from furnaces. Without our participation in the project, we would not have been able to carry out these investments.
